I want to connect my modded PS2 slim with a Seagate IDE Hard Disk(brand new 80 GB) in quite simple steps. As i read lots of threads and came to know that one need a USB Hard Disk to connect with PS2 slim. But why cant my IDE Hard Disk connect with Ps2 slim? I'm thinking of buying a USB to IDE adapter so that i will have a USB cable on the other end of my IDE HD to connect it with the PS2 USB port. Before buying that 10 £ adapter and implementing it on my PS2 please advice me if im doing all wrong. Can any of the below product work in converting my IDE HD into USB one, and will that be compatible for PS2 slim model ??

1. I think i should buy one good USB enclosure but the question is which one. I'm looking for the better n the cheaper one. Or, its like any usb solution will work for it. Please suggest me any standard one which would be easily available in the london market.
2nd question.. do i need both.. USB Advance and USB Extreme ??? (i know its a very stupid question but then i dont want to take any chance)
Or, any one of them will work? If yes, then which one is better and why?
3. I dont buy original games, i d/w them from torrentz. Hence, they dont work online.
Now my question is.. would my games work online if i will run them from HDD ???????
will it be able to overcome the DNAS Error.
Or, is there any other way to play them online without using original games.

1.Since your PS2 version is a v12, you definately don't want a USB HDD. Get an HDCombo or HDConnect so you can connect a IDE HDD and use it with HDLoader.
2.You don't need both. But if you download one of them, you need an exploit to load the ELF.
3.No. You cannot play online from an HDD. Only with a disc.

Also, you can use USB insane to install downloaded games straight from your computer through USB i think.
