for a V15 where a internal hard drive will not be used anyway, i say it would be between the Matrix Infinity and Crystal Chip V2.0
depending on if you play online with back ups, if you do then the CC V2.0 for sure

DMS4 Pro SE is more suited to older PS2 models that can use internal hard drives.

What is it about the CC that makes it more suitable for online gaming?

The Crystal Chip uses a replacement browser called Boot Manager, BM for short. The hacked version of BM has the ability to fool Sonys online servers into believing you have an original disc in your console and not a back-up thus bypassing the DNAS checks. A very small handful of games still cant be bypassed in this manner, such as Socom2.

The CC2.0 is by far the best chip IMO, regarless of version, so you cant go wrong with it.

Have fun!

I've heard that people have not been able to get the Crystal Chip to play online games properly. If that's a major feature for you, the MI chip does this correctly.

I personally would not recommend the DMS4 chip. I've had over 1/2 of my recent chips DOA. As such, I won't use them anymore. Not worth the hassle!

Well after the first few replies I was leaning towards the CC, but if raiderj is right then I dont see a problem with going the MI way and manually inserting the DNAS.

I've been trying to locate this info on the CC chip, but the forum it was posted on (PSX-scene) seems to be down.
