Hi dRD, just noticed that when i put in a search for my username that only the two posts i did today are coming up. None of my previous posts are listed. Im trying to find one in particular. Is there are problem with it at the minute.

I just did a search for Oriphus (typed in the nick box in search page) and got about gazillion (well, limited to 150 or whatever the limit was that I've set there, can't remember :-) results. Maybe you entered it in the text search box instead of the nick search box?

v3 doesn't necessarily solve much issues with search as I haven't been able to figure out a way to keep it reasonably fast (trust me, free search through 250,000 messages takes a while :-) by allowing more flexible search features. And licensing Google's engine costs too much :-) But I'll figure out something, I'm trying to create a "combined" search that would allow searching on one page for all our main site areas (soft/forums/news/guides/glossary) and then separate "specialty searches" that allow more functionalities to be added for each particular search (operating systems, categories, etc for software; time limit, etc for forums; etc..).

But for now, the main idea behind too-much-hyped "v3" is to launch a new, nicer looking layout that would integrate forums and main site together and fix couple of annoyances at the same time.

Yes, that was one of the too-much-requested features earlier this year before I changed it to work like that -- i.e. I got bored of gazillion people asking the same damn thing and actually implemented it :-)
