Critique My Setup (will it work)??

First off, I haven't been on these forums in a longgg time, but figured what better place to ask.

Okay I haven't got all this together yet... but this is going to be my setup when I am done:

shuttle st61g4
p4 2.4ghz
120gb seagate silent drive
lite-on DVD-R
1gb pc3200 kingston hyper x ram
ati radeon 9550 256mb agp card
hauppage pvr-250
running windows vista ultimate media center edition
directv DVR Box (it has usb outs)

I thought about doing linux mce or mythtv... but I don't have FTA, and I really don't need all the other features so thought I would just stick to this and use something a little more polished.

Now, is all that stuff going to work together???
Is there anyway to control the directv recorder with the usb from the DirecTV R15?
