help with Xploder HDTV player and codebreaker

i just bought an Xploder HDTV player. everything works fine, but i can't get it to work with a codebreaker. i first load up the codebreaker, then i select the codes i want, then press start to after i insert the HDTV player, then i select the resolution, then put in my game and press start but everytime it wont load. i first tried it the other way with putting in the HDTV player disc first and then codebreaker but that doesnt work. i just want to play my ps2 games with cheat codes with my HDTV player. i was thinking of using gameshark since madcatz is affiliated with xploder. i dont know what to do, im open to anything. please help me out thanks
