hello everyone, i have a slim ps2 with a modbo 750 v1.88 chip and was wondering what kind of external hdd should i use maybe name brand types compatable to slipmps2 v15 for now, later would be getting whatever files i need to install but for now just the type of hdd, many thanks in advance

I don't know external HDDs, but if you want, you can check here for a list of PS2 HDDs that are said to be compatible for such and such PS2 version with problems like fitting mentioned and categorized.
