ok, windows firewall should be running plus I have a router which I thought served as a hardware firewall , so you think I should also have another one? If so then should I disable the windows firewall to prevent conflict between them?

If you have hardware firewall , keep it.
If you only use Windows firewall , then disable it and download Sygate for example
