NeroVision 6.6 Runtime Error

Nero Ultra 6.6.1.4. XP Home SP2. Recently I have had C++ runtime errors- abnormal program termination- when I attempt to import mpeg files into NeroVision (create a new DVD). When I try to import any video file to NeroVision Express the program shuts down with the abnormal program termination error. The screen just disappears & I cannot reopen it unless I close it first with task manager. Nerovision is fine with jpeg files & creating a slide show. It is just the mpeg files that will not import. They are not newly captured files, Nero has imported them previously. I have had no response after 4 emails to Nero Support. Any suggestions?
