Hey Rusty Dog, you seem to know alot, can you help to connect my pc to my xbox? i am running winxp, i have a hub and a router which is better?, please if possible break it down for me. if you want to email me let me know. thnx

The simplest way is to use a crossover cable to connect the PC and XBox directly.
