Can anyone please help me before I open the box?

I just bought a 360 and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what type of drive I have? Gamestop told me once I open it I can't take it back. When I go to www.360drives.com I notice that there are both the Hitachi drives as well as the Samsung drives being made with my exact lot number and team number. The manufacture date is August 10, 2006. Also is there anyway to tell which firmware it came with?

manufacture date 08-2006....earliest benq was not reported until 12-2006...thus a flashable drive

i thought he meant without opening the exterior cardboard box, not the unit itself....i could be wrong

Hey guys I opened the box very carefully last night so if I had to take it back I could and it was a Samsung drive so I am very happy. My next question is what firmware comes with the Samsung drives? Is it MS25 and MS28 or are there others as well.
By the way thanks to all that have tried helping me I really appreciate it.

No I'm sorry I meant I removed the sticker on the box that it comes in not the 360 itself.

actually ive sent 2 back with the warranty sticker off and they still repaired them:)
the last one was a month ago with a flashed drive as said it had 3 red lights(it never it was just banned off live so was hoping for a replacement),they new the drive was flashed so they swapped it for one of the harder to flash hitachis and sent it back to me......
but hey i got another 3 months warranty to,and i month free xbox live gold:)
