Hello. I recently downloaded Narutimate Accel, Bleach Blade Battlers, and Kenshin, which played flawlessly and with no problems.

On the other hand, while downloading and burning Guilty Gear Accent Core as well as NBA Live 2007, whenever putting it in, it makes loud grinding sounds like the DVD is hitting the laser.

On all games, I am using Verbatim DVD+R's. Does it make a difference if I'm using DVD-R's?

Also any idea why the grinding sound is only on some games? I tried adjusting the laser also, but with no success on those two games only.

Thanks a lot!

Are you using a flip top? That was my problem as it would grind whenever a game need to spin faster then normal or need constant disc access.

Yes I am using a Fliptop w/ Swap Magic v3.6

Like I said before, some games work, while some others grind.

Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

What worked for me was to remove the little white disc from the flip top and just place it on the disc manually while leaving the flip top open. That stopped the grinding and even made some games that didn't work before work without a rebuild.

I did do that and it still makes the grinding. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the idea though.

With the lid open can you see what exactly is making the noise? Maybe it's like this guy here.
