Problems with HD Loader & Swap Magic

I have been trying to boot up HD Loader using Swap Magic v3.0. I have been trying to use the memory card exploit following this guide here to burn a disc, but I can't seem to get my Swap Magic CD to work properly.

First, I start by putting in the Swap Magic CD, then it asks for a high TOC disk, so I put in Kingdom Hearts 2, then it says "Ready for program" at the bottom of the screen. So then I use the slide tool to insert the cd-r I made using the guide above, but nothing happens when I press X or square. I also am trying to use a hard drive from my Xbox, which is a 10.2 gb Seagate. Will this work? Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

forgive me in advance if i sound like a noob (because i am), but as far as i know your hdd must be at least 40gb
