trouble with my mod please help [no boot]

not sure if this is the right forum but any ways any help will be appriciated. I recently purchased a boot disk tool for my slim line ps2. Also with this I got the keys that came with it. Just like everyone else I had trouble keeping the key in the back to hit that limit switch. So I had the good idea to super glue a piece of alluminum on the switch and the front switch. After I was done the ps2 now dosn't boot any disk. It just boots to the browser or what ever. The thing I think happened is glue got in the switch and cut off the circut. What now!!!? I mean is it broken or is this an easy fix. I would try to open up the limit but that would probally make it worse. Plese help me fix this because I am broke and can't afford a new one.. Thanks
