hi the screen lights up bright then dims down but is still on, green light flickers as normal, it wont turn off, was just about to reset it back to 1.50 when this happened but noticed the screen flicker on and of before hand too.....chris

brick is when u turn on the PSP.. but the menu never comes on. the light stays on showing its on but screen stays black constantly

its a brick then no menu coming on wouldnt care it didnt even get to the point where u press x to start the downgrade

that wont help, he was downgrading. that only works in custom firmware.

PSP Firmware: constantly changing, currently GoldenEye.

true. but it might have been anothe rproblem. in that case your fucked mate. sell your psp on ebay youll get £50 for it or go buy a new motherboard.
