hello,
I know that some people can put a Hard Drive on a Playstation.2
I would like to know if it has to be the FF Hard Drive.
Can it be any PC hard drive ?
I have 2 Big Playstation.2s. and 3 Memory cards. HD would be cool.
And also have The Network Adapter for online gaming.
ok.
if any one can help me out that would be great.
thanks.
Game On.

(A HD is attached to a ps2 to backup your games onto it)
Firsly, you need HDLOADER to make any use of the HD, the hard drive must be compatible with HDLOADER, also, your ethernet adapter must be the one that has an IDE and HD Power plug on the side that turns in towards the expansion slot, I'm not sure if all network adapters for the ps2 have this IDE capability. Your PC IDE HD must also be on the HDLOADER compatibility list.

Essentially any IDE hard drive by Hitachi, Seagate, or Maxtor will work. Plug it into your network adapter. You can make use of the drive with various software available.

You can't save games to the hard drive. You're also going to need a modchip (or an exploit) to do anything worthwhile with a hard drive.
There is lots of software that makes use of the hard drive. Do some research and see if any of it interests you.

-- Yes, I understood what you meant. I wasn't trying to imply that you can save 4GB+ worth of data to an 8MB memory card.
Do some research... you obviously aren't familiar with what is capable with a PS2 hard drive.
And no, you cannot use the hard drive like you would a memory card.
