go to http://sony.com/psp u can get all the new updates there. i dont reccomend upgrading. if u tell us what firmware ur on now, u may be able to downgrade and optionally upgrade to acustom firmware which will let u play the latest games and let u be able to play hombrew games/applications on ur psp.

If you're currently in Sony firmware version, you need first to downgrade it to 1.5 and upgrade to any of Dark Alex's custom firmwares for you to play any homebrew and downloaded games.. i prefer you upgrade it to custom firmware ver3.40 OE-A and you can play newest games...k..

#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c

It's an easy installer, very straight forward. Read the instruction. It will take you about 5 mins.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Hei fuke...u're saying to downgrade to 1.5 and upgrade to Dark Alex's custom firmware...
Does it apply to 2.71 as well?? Mine psp fw is 2.71 with devhook launcher for 2.71...could play games but not the latest games...need to upgrade!!

To play latest games, you have to get to a custom firmware from 1.5.
What is your motherboard version?
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...
