I recently unlocked my Nokia 6020 with the help of this forum (thanks MCCRASH!). It all went fine (I assume since I've the restriction off message, but can't test cuz I don't have any other SIM card).
I noticed that my phone still have protected files like the Fido wallpaper. Once you unlock your phone, you can use it with any carrier, but what about removing other restrictions ? Is that what we call un-branding a cellphone ?
My wife has a SE K510a also from Fido and one of the restrictions is that she can't use any MP3 as a ringtone. She has to buy the ringtone from Fido in order to use it with her cellphone.

Any help would be helpful :P
You will have to flash the phone with 6020 OEM software to get rid of all the Fido stuff, this would remove all the restrictions placed by that carrier.

The process is really called debranding ? Need to know if I want to search for this.
I would not know as I am from the UK. I will see what I can find out.
