first let me start off by saying im a n00b and greatly appreciate any help you guys can offer. second i have searched both google and this site in regards to this issue and the closest thing i found was people gettin this error when trying to split a dvd; however im' not trying to split a dvd. my objective is to copy a DVD9 thru shrink; and 99% of the time i have no problems, however on newer movies i encounter the problem that shrink wont read them, this is where dvdfab decryptor comes in... this freeware will rip the DVD9 to the hd and then i can open and analize the movie with shrink, however when i try to burn i get:

This only happens on movies such as UltraViolet and Running w/ Scissors that have Sony's Arcoss on them. Now i can re-author the DvD and it will rip with No problems, however is there anyway i can keep the oringal menus????

Note: I've also used AnyDVD and the DvDfab Gold Free Trials and did not have this problem, however my free trial(s) have expired and i dont have an extra $50 to spare. Any help appreciated.

Hi ptmd
Using the latest DVDFab HD Decrypter - 3.1.4.0? If not update it - that should take away the video reallocation error.

If not then run the files ripped from DVDFab thru VobBlanker (free too). Here's a guide

actually just upgraded to the latest DVDFab HD 3.1.4.0 (today) in an effort to resolve the issue AND ran it thru VobBlanker, but alas this did not allow me to backup the entire disc, still getting the "One or more files (mostly VOB file(s)) do not belong to the corresponding IFO file" perhaps i'm still a n00b @ this VobBlanker but i didn't blank anything out just processed it thru and still had the same issue, DVD Shrink will encode but fails during reallocation

seen that guide before and re-read it again, wonder if the FixVTS will have a diff effect, i will try that next...

once again, any suggestions are welcome

Hmmm FixVTS would have been my next suggestion. Here's a guide if you need it - link.

Which movie is giving you this trouble? DVDFab HD should handle any out there.

There's always AnyDVD and CloneDVD - not free but 21 day free trial.

thanks for your help binkie and btw you captured my soul ;-)

the solution i found:

rip w/ dvdfab hd decrytper
shrink and convert to ISO with DVDShrink
burn ISO w/ ImgBurn

tested on all my dVd players and the copy worked flawlessly !!!
