i have a ps2 slim scph-77006 NTSC.I just bough it last year at december 2006.Because im curious if copied game can be played on my console then on june 2007,tried to copy the game ice age 2 the melting down using Alcohol 120%,then it work.Later on,i tried another game and it work perfectly except for Grand theft auto san andreas because its original disk is problematic also. Not only alcohol,i also try using the Nero program to copy ff x-2 and it work great. There is one game 'metal slug 6' that is first has problem when it loading. Then after i copy the game using Alcohol 120%,the copied game work fine. I dont use any other thing like Swap magic or anything.just my bare ps2.It case has never been open since i bough the console.

He he he , so i wonder why is my ps2 slimline can play copied game without being modded like you guys always mentioned about.
-My console cant play any ps1 game though.

Wow, sounds like you got really lucky. I don't even know what kind of modchip I have in mine, my uncle got me a premodded PS2 when he went to Vietnam, but, I'm too lazy to take it apart and see what kind it is.

check the warranty sticker, should be over a seam (where the top half of the shell meets the bottom half) if there is none or its damaged or theres a "clean" spot where it used to be, then it sounds like a pre-owned modded and returned... and probably because it doesnt play PS1 games.
