problems with xilisoft dvd converter

Could someone help me wwith a problem? I have been using Xilisoft to convert most of my vidoe files lately,and until now have had no problems.But now I am stuck.I have been converting Se 1 of Curious George cartoon for my daughter,with custom menus and all.Now I am on the last mp4 to DVD but the Xilisoft keeps getting stuck on ep.27 of a total of 30.I was thinking of using a different mp4 to dvd converter just for that one file,then after conversion to .mpg adding it back to the conversion list with the mp4 files in Xilisoft to then convert them all to DVD.I think that should work but,I am not sure what encoder I should use for the mp4 to .mpg conversion for that 1 file and still be able to keep the quality the same.I have used another mp4 to dvd converter before (for about 10 mins.) until I saw the crappy resulting file.
