I ripped some music videos from a bunch of DVD's and then I want to burn them on to a DVD. The thing is that Nero wants do "transcode" the video streams, and that takes 8 hours or more. Is there some way that I can go arround the transcoding part? I mean, the VOB-files allready come from DVD's so there should not be a problem to add them directly to a new DVD?!?!
You have just ripped the VOB with a program like SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter or have you encoded them to another format.
If you just ripped them, just open Nero, select DVD Video option and put the VOB files into the VIDEO_TS folder.
Thanks for your fast answer! I use DVD Decrypter when I ripp DVD's. I never encoded the files, they are in original VOB format. When I tried to put them in the Video_TS folder, Nero started to complain about the file name, what is that all about? Nero gives some examples on what the file names can be, is there some kind of character limit or some thing else?
