Using CloneDVD2;
Most movies I copy do not have the 'frame statistics' available, just the 'video bit-rates'. Why is this?

Most movies have 2 channel and 6 channel audio available. Do I need both choices if I check 6 channel? IOW's, doesn't the 6 channel track(s) include the 2 channel audio?

CloneDVD2 is a simplistic program...... anyone can do it! It takes all the figuring out what bit rates you need and so forth and transcodes a DVD to fit onto a DVD5 without a problem! soo you won't see variable adjustments like video bit-rates except if you check the widescreen or full screen video channels of the DVD (some disks have choice both widescreen video channel or full screen video channel)!

If you pick the 6 channel audio and you don't have a stereo to get the 6 channels it will revert to 2 channel...... so always pick the 6 channel stream..... also some 2 channel streams are director comments! be aware of that .... so you don't make a mistake to only pick the director's comments and ruin your movie! or you can pick both if it doesn't change your quality Percentage! just to be sure.

You misunderstood the question.
I don't want to change anything, I just wanted to know why some movies give you the choice (through the program) to view BOTH 'frame statistics' AND 'video bit rates'. Most movies only seem to let you see just one, not both. What makes the difference within the DVD?

Regarding the audio, if I just check the 6 channel option and leave the 2 channel option unchecked, I'm good to go when played back on ANY audio system (7.1 or just plain stereo)??
