I'm using DVD Shrink 3.2 on my new laptop and I can shrink the dvd but when it says "Please insert an empty disc to write to" nothing happens. I can't get past the Phase:Checking discs. This laptop also has vista on it does shrink work w/ this OS? Thanks.

It should be work with Shrink.
What version of Nero are you running? 7.7.5.1 & higher are Vista compatible.

What brand of discs are you using also - like Sony +R 16x? That may be playing into it also.

Try burning with ImgBurn. It's a good free burning program.
The files should be saved to your hard drive from Shrink. Use the build mode in ImgBurn to add the folder to burn.

I'm using Nero 6 Ultra Edition 6.6.0.6 I'll download a newer version and give that a shot.

That might be the reason - give the trial of 7 a shot - link.

You'll need to uninstall 6 1st - run the clean tool. Reboot and install the trial.

Give ImgBurn a shot 1st to make sure just a Nero thing. Great program and can't beat the price :)
