did anybody's final iso come out to be 3.95 GB? If so, did you go through the entire game without any problems?

Well, first off, it would help to tell us what game you are talking about. Secondly, 3.95 gigs should burn just fine on a 4.7 regular DVD disc.

Depending on the DVD media brand you are using of course. Typically, Memorex, Fujifilm and such are considered bad quality unless their media IDs, which you can read using DVD Decryptor and such, turns out not to be CMC MAGs and such. For a list of media IDs, you can check here. As for what's generally the better DVD media, different results for different people really although I'd personally vouch and would suggest you to use Verbatim or Taiyo Yaiden DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs, and DVD RWs, DVD rewriteables, should be a definite no-no.

Edit: And what game exactly...?
