Sorry, should have mentioned, am afraid to do a full rescan as 1) hate having to rename/move channels (can think of better ways to spend a half hour), and 2) am afraid I will have less channels than when I started.. Thought there may be a simple reason why this is happening (losing channels and "no signal" displayed?!
Thanks.

Hey all
Any horse-racing fans will know this one! Racing UK has come up scrambled recently and Turf TV supplies paddy powers as well as some of the other shops. I tried a search on my eurovox lite and got neither station. i dont know if turf tv should be coming up? i havent tried it on the replay lite yet, but my uncle is really disturbed about losing racing uk and hes got one of those old school boxes (like blocks but update themselves). anyway, i thought that if i could get racing uk back
on the replay lite, i could possibly sort him out after. any help is appreciated.

Hi Karl1234
The reason for this can be unplugging the null modem and unplugging BEFORE the box can fully upgrade.
When the files are transferring the red/green light will flash slowly. Even after all the files are transferred by your PC WAIT until the red/green lights flash much more quickly than it did when you could visibly see the files transferring on your PC.
Only then unplug everything and exit the stb link.
ALL THE FILES REQUIRED AT
http://eko.4shared.com/
A guide to flashing can be found in DOCUMENTATION.
Make sure the null modem lead has part number L71BT on the front of the cover.
Do not accept anything that does not have this part number.
A Null Modem Cable is required which can be purchased for ?18 from Maplins Dublin city centre or if you can wait to have it delivered you can purchase online UK for a fraction of the cost plus postage. One example of where they can be purchased online is http://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-com-Nul...9/dp/B00006B8BJ
STB LINK FILE 5.20 FOUND UNDER SOFTWARE
Flash the box with 742a file. FOUND UNDER FIRMWAREFlash the box. Remember UNTICK maintain user data.
Wait until all the blocks are transferred and WAIT a couple of more minutes for the led to flash much more rapidly than it did when you could visibly see when the blocks were transferring.
Unplug everything and only connect the power lead.
Wait for the led to flash red/green and then stay on green.
Then flash with 744 FOUND UNDER FIRMWARE
Flash the box.
AND FLASH WITH 752 FOUND UNDER FIRMWARE OR CLONE WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS 752 ALREADY IN THEIR BOX.
Flash the box. Remember UNTICK maintain user data.
Wait until all the blocks are transferred and WAIT a couple of more minutes for the led to flash much more rapidly than it did when you could visibly see when the blocks were transferring.
Unplug everything and connect the power lead and TV and SCART leads.
Your box should be now ready for a rescan.
DOWNLOAD THE REPLAY HANDBOOK IN DOCUMENTATION.

Hi Lydon,
These are the frequencies for your missing channels.
Setanta Golf 307. Ireland. 459. UK
Setanta 2 394. Ireland 683. UK
Go to manual search.
CH1
Frequency as above
Symbol rate 6875
Constellation 64 QAM
Search by network ON
SEARCH.
When the search is finished you should have found a number of channels.
By default they will be stored at the end of your currently saved channels.
Delete the channel that was not working and move the newly found channel to that spot and delete any of the new channels you don't want.
If you don?t find any channels, try changing the symbol rate.
Even though I am in Ireland I set the symbol at the above and got what I was looking for.
Hope this helps you brother.

givyjoe,
That file has been downloaded by a lot of people with no ill effects!
I have got many messages from people who have thanked me for saving them on a rescan. If the colours were messed up, it had nothing to do with the favourites file, probably one of your connections or a faulty scart lead.
Did you wait for the flashing green/red to flash really really quickly, if not, that would cause the box to freeze and you just get a dead box.
Try unplugging the box a few times as some boxe's take a while to reset.
If that dosen't work, follow the instructions as above for Karl1234.

man, nothing wrong with scart lead or the modem cable, have checked scart and the modem cable i used to update the software, so its def no teither of them. as i was saying, the freze instructions are no use as the pc can now no longer communicate with the box, this happened after i tried to flast the box a second time after the first one sent the reception green, which was also defintely because of the flash. dont mean to be getting ratty man but im sure you can understand where im coming from, you would be none too impressed someone's flash knackered your box. is there instructions soemwhere on how to clone a box? had a poke around eamo's library didnt spot it. please please help me fix this!!!

givyjoe,
Follow the instructions for karl1234 above, you must have done the flash incorrectly in the first place.
That is why you are having a problem, it has nothing to do with the favourites file.
When doing the first make sure the MAINTAIN USER box is UNTICKED.

brian, can i give you a call or you ring me, please. i can explaiin better over the phone. i cannot use those instructions you mentioned as the box will NOT COMMUNICATE WITH MY PC. i cant establish a connection since i used the favourites update. seriously, thats what happened. i would use that stb 5.2 if i could but the box is not responding, it turns on then flashes red green for a couple of seconds, then back to red and so on. but the main thing is that you cant flash the box anymore at all. 0eight 7 one 3 eight 9 six two five. and again apologies for the atitude, im just distraguht that the box is fooked.

givyjoe,
CLONING THE REPLAY LITE
If you have flashed a box and set up the favourites in order you can clone the data on this box to another.
Simply plug in the set up (master) box ? attach a null modem cable to the back. Take the new box, put it on top of the master, plug in the null modem lead THEN FINALLY plug the power into the second unit. It will then start cloning from the master. When the red/green light starts blinking very rapidly ? it?s cloned
From the moment you plug in the second box it takes 3mins 46secs to clone, so 4 minutes should be sufficent to get your box up and running again.
