I ripped FVIII and converted it to a eboot and am playing it on my 3.40 OE-A psp and it randomly freezes.

anyexplanation to why? or how to fix it?

maybe it was the creation of the files that went wrong. Try it agian, or look around, there were many threads about final fantasy games freezing, look what people have said.
