Screwed up 3.40 oea XMB pretty bad, i think. Help?

Firmware history 2.8 <-> 1.5, 3.03 oec, 3.40 oea
Installed Themeswapper v0.3, ran and selected "scribbled" theme.
XMB blacks out and shuts down psp.
Recovery mode works, replaced flash0 with backup files.
oeupdmaker worked, created data.dxar created.
Couldn't access 340oeflasher cause I don't know how.
I got frustrated because i couldn't find any advice that worked.
Got a umd game to run, exited to xmb, blacked out and shut down again.
Tried the winstaller...still same problem.
Changed almost every option in Recovery menu that seemed like it would help...still same problem
Can anybody help me with this issue?

p.s. at least i can still play umds :)

Reinstall it. go to recovery mode enable usb connect to pc download 3.40 oe-a in my sig. unzip the file with WinRAR. extract the folder 340oeflasher to psp/game and rename the folder 340oeflasher to Recovery. In recovery mode go down 2? to the run program at /psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp (Note: 340oeflasher% folder is not neccessary) Or install back to 1.50 do the same thing but use the last link in my sig

Yay! I have my glorious xmb back again! Thanks a million! I thought I tried that exact thing but... What do you suggest I use to modify my xmb safely?
