I followed the readme for installing the 3.40OE firmware. When it was installing I left my PSP on until it had finished installing. When I came back to it it had turned off. So I turned it on and I looked at the Firmware in System Information and it still says it was 1.50. I tried installing it again but as soon as it got past the PSP flash to indicate I was playing a game it returned to the XMB.

Does anybody know what happened?

also keep an eye in the procedure to make sure the oe firmware passes md5 verification.

OK I watched it this time and it doesn't seem to get past the opening and validating the dxar file step (it turns off after that step).

Don't know why that would happen. Did I miss any files out?

Right, I think I know what I've done wrong now. I'll try it again now...
