Hey all. I'm totally having troubles at the moment. I am working on converting Contra: Legacy of War (a PSX title) for the PSP.
I can convert the image fine.. it makes a proper/launchable EBOOT but... no matter what I do, I just cannot get the music to work.
When I open the original image with CDmage, I can preview all the music tracks, so I now they are included & working in my original bin/cue image... but I just can't make them translate over into the EBOOT.
I've tried all the converters (Ice Tea/PSGUI/PSX2PSP) I know of... and none of them seem to be able to do this for me.
If I extact the WAVs with CDmage, I get playable files (that work with iTunes/WMP/etc). But if I use those files and over-write the ones in the bin/cue, I get a corrupted data problem.
Anyone have a step-by-step tutorial for me to make this crap work? I'm getting frustrated.
I've tried converting the music files and (using a music free ISO extracted with CDmage - "extract, track 1, save as ISO") making my own Cue with Sega Cue Maker (which seems to generally work with customizing PSX music tracks), but I get errors when mounting the cue.
NOTE1: I've also noticed something else. If I open the bin/cue in PowerISO (I'm at work, so using Windows XP), I thought if I saved it as an ISO it might work better. Well! I go "save as" and select ISO. The conversion begins but at around 84% the process aborts. The error dialogue box just gives the filename.. no actual details. WTF.
NOTE2: If I mount the cue with DaemonTools, and use PowerISO to make an ISO of the virtual drive, I get an I/O device error.
The game runs fine without the music... but I would really like to get the music working, if at all possible. Anyone know a guide that covers this sort of problem? (I thought Ice Tea had CDDA support, which should make this work... but no avail there)
