Well about 2 weeks ago i got the ring of death i have done about everything you could think of
1.Installing a custom Cooler
2.The Towel Trick(Temporary)
3.Took the top off the 360
4.Removed the X CLAMP
5.lifted the Power supply off the air
6.And a lot of other things
I had the three lights of death, and the Xbox had been fiddled with ie no warrenty seal. I sent it to GT Electronics (google it) £60 later all fixed and back in business.
If they send it back and the lights return they refund your money......Sweet

But check on ebay some guy does it for $40 and he refunds the money if he cant fix it or it messes up later heres the link

Some pepole report getting their consoles fixed without the warranty sticker and some report their console not getting repaired because they dont have the warranty sticker.Its just luck I guess
