using encrypted wmv files on a mac?

I was wondering if its possible to download an encrypted wmv file on my work pc, and decrypt it so I can use it on my mac at home. I know that there is something called fairuse4wmv or something like that, will that work?

The reason I ask this, is because the Death Note series has just been licensed in the US under VIZ media and Viz decided to not use iTunes for their internet distribution, and instead decided to use some silly service called Direct2drive which of course uses windows media. I know that there are fansubs and I have a few (as I am about half way done with the series) but now that the fansub groups are backing out because of legal issues, I would like to have a legal way to download them.
