I've connected my PS2 to my LCD Monitor (Composite connection). I get the Sony Entertainment screen, followed by the Playstation 2 logo. Then the screen goes black and nothing else happens.

Is there something that I'm missing?

are u 100% sure it is composite (yellow, red, white) as most monitors do not have those connectors

its got mutiple input options such as VGA, DVI-D, S-Video and Composite. With the composite input it only has the yellow plug. What do I need to get it to work?

the S-Video results are ok, not great but they will do. The problem I'm occuring now is only my PAL games work. I bought a NTSC version of a game and I only get the Sony Entertainment screen followed by the Playstation 2 screen then a black screen.

What are the refresh rates needed for PAL and NTSC games?

ok....my current refresh rate is 60.

My PAL games work and my NTSC do not. This is confusing.

So when you play your PAL game you have change it to 50. When you want to play your NTSC games you have to change it to 60. You have to do that each time. Or you can get a video format converter from an import game website. I woukd reccomend just getting a modchip.

I have a modchip in my PS2 and it works perfectly fine on my television. I recently bought a LCD Monitor and want to use my PS2 on the monitor. The refresh rate is at 60, but only PAL games work still :(
