problems with DVD9 :(

hi
i have a DVD9 compatible modchip
the game is God of War 2
ive burn it on 3 discs
verbatim, silverline and teac

only the silverline works
when i put in the verbatim and teac the ps2 dont even recognize ive put in a disc (in the broswer i see only the mem card)

anyone knows why? ive burn them all with Nero the same way..

the problem with the silverline is that when it gets to the second layer the ps2 cant read it.. ive read about the Toxic Dual Layer Image Patcher, does it help? does anybody tried it with gow2??
(ive burned the silverline before ive patched the image so i dont know if it works..)
pls help me i spend so much money already on those dvd-dl discs :(

DVD-R DL's work with old playstation2 versions.

DVD+R DL's work with the newer ps2's.

What version is your ps2, you said you are using the -'s. Is that something to consider as being the culprit?
