I'm trying to back up Rocky Balboa with DVDfab, version 3140, but there seems to be a reading error. I am thinking that this might be a problem of the copy that I have, not an anti-copy device. Can anybody confirm this? Has anybody else had any trouble backing up this movie?
Thanks!

I believe that version of DVDFab decrypter should work with this movie, unless there's a problem with the disk itself, if that's the case just return your DVD and exchange it for another.

Here's another way that I know will work with this movie.

You can just use DVD Decrypter in file mode to rip the video files to your hard drive, once the files are on your drive you'll need to process them thru a little app called FixVTS. Once FixVTS is done, just open the files using shrink, have it create an ISO image file that can be burned to disk using DVD Decrypter or imgburn using ISO write mode.

Here's a guide for using DVD Decrypter in file mode if needed:

Here you can get FixVTS (free) and a simple guide on use:

Imgburn if needed

here's another Rocky Balboa link - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/485647 however as per John, DVDFab HD Decrypter will indeed storm thru this movie with no problems

Thanks for all the info, guys! Yes, I think that the copy I have might be defective. I'll change it and try again with DVDfab.
But the other options that you mentioned are still quite interesting.

You could try using the second option I described, if its still not working, then you have a bad DVD disk.
