Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to DVD ripping and all that jazz. But I do have a general idea of how to do it. I've heard theres a program that instantly rips straight off of your DVD disc into DivX format on your HD. I'm not sure if this is true, since the friends that told me are thieving liars. If there is such a program though, please tell me about it and where it can be downloaded. Thanks.

...you might also want to check out the alternatives that rip into VCD or SuperVCD format. The difference with these formats to DivX is that VCD and SVCD can be played also with regular stand-alone DVD player. For VCD:
