ok i just flashed my drive with the new ixtreme hitachi only to find that after a few seconds of play with my backups i get a unplayable/readable disc thing any suggestions??

ok so just to add this the games do start but on most loading screens they freeze is this normal??

oh sorry for making this topic I used the pot calibration method. after a little twak of 25 degrees makes every backup start up as quick and plays as simply as originals thanks again.

ok wait never mind the pot calibration method did well kind of work but in the end afer 20 min. of play still i get the dirty disc message. is there any other suggestions i'm using a nec 3530a burner with the dell 104c firmware that auto bitsetts DVD+R DL media to dvd-rom for me. One last thing as well when my hitachi 59dj drive spins it slightly squeeks i know this is not normal and since the xbox is new there has to be something i can do. so any other suggestions??? any thing will help so thanks.

ok I just started using verbatim dvd+r Dl discs and burning at 3 different speeds with the same result of the dde after trying to play the game. Then suddently i notice that my lable is slightly off on all the games. after ripping the lables off the game plays great with not even a notice to if it's original of backup thanks guys.

if you want printing on your dvd's you need printable disks.....paper labels are big no no's.

ok this is probably the stupidest question ever but i know i can buy printable discs but how do i know if my printer can print them. Or does it work like i put the lables only on printable discs. You would be extremely helpful if you answered this thanks

epson makes a cd printer in the states r260 is cheap and works great
