24/96 LPCM audio is a supported DVD-V format. No, I'm not confusing this with DVD-A. :-) Chesky records put these type of discs out as Digital Audio Discs (DADs).

My goal is to record analog lps to a 24/96 digital (DVD) format.

Another goal is multiple hours of 16/44.1 std CD (wav) audio on a recordable DVD. (I'm still learning about all the formats.) I assume most burners should be able to do this. ??

Thanks!

If those audio tracks are files on your HD then you can creat a DVD-ROM with them but this would only play on your PC. Not sure what you mean by DVD-V?

Oriphus- Yeah, I thought about posting over at the high rez forum, but what I'm trying to do actually has nothing to do with DVD-A or SACD. But might be worth a shot, in that the DVD-V DAD format *is* high rez. :-)

Discmania- DVD-V is just DVD-Video versus DVD-Audio. The 24/96 format is supported by the original DVD standard, but I wanted to differentiate from DVD-A.

Yeah, would be in LPCM 24/96 format on the harddrive.

I gathered that after I'd posted.
