ok ive been trying to get help but i cant see to get what i need i guess or something but i had a friend flash my 360 for me a wile back but i did not know how he did it
i am trying to get my drive back to the red so i can but the ixtreme on it
i have the sada card and cable oready
i downoad the slax and its on a cd
i did all that
typed up the password root then toor
then i did reboot and took the cd out then the pc freezes am i doing something wrong?

2 posts about the same thing dude?

Does the light blink on the front of the xbox to say its in mode B?
Sometimes if it freezes on loading windows you have to eject the tray a few times.

the green on light will blink

also keep popping the disc try in and out while windows loads

The xbox power light should be flashing to show its in Mode B, and where does it freeze? Normally it may freeze when it gets to the windows xp scrolling bar, you will then need to eject the xbox drive a few times and it should go past it

your exactly right where it freezes and when should it starts flashing to show its in b? thanks for all your help by the way i really appreciate it

i dont start to open and close the drive until the windows xp scrolling bar? thanks again

as soon as you've finished with the slax CD the power light should be flashing, otherwise it has not worked and you need to try again (search google for the 2 wire trick, is a lot easier)

and yes, as soon as it gets to the windows xp loading bar eject the tray on the 360 a few times and it'll go past it, well should do anyway.

not everyone knows it until they read up about it :-)
i will be able to help you with it, but am off to bed now as its 1am and i have work in the morning!

look for textbooks guide on 360mods.net and spend a bit of time reading up on it. the 2 wire trick takes less than a second and will get the drive into mode B :-)
