if i want to make one DVD-9 from episodes of say, the x-files, from a number of discs, is it possible with DVD Shrink to save multiple episodes (about 6) as one DVD image?
if that's not possible, when i save the episodes as DVD files (VOB, IFO, BUP, etc), when dragging them to a project for burning, say Nero, do i include all the files, or do i just include the VOB files? does it matter what order i put the files in if i need them all? please help!
If you are using NTFS file system then you can save them as an .iso image file. That file will show up as one file but the different episodes are w/in that file. Just tell Shrink to save all of the files as an .iso file and then burn that iso to the DVD using Imgburn(free program). If you want to change the order of the episodes then you will need to re-write the master .ifo image file and all of the other .ifo file. You might could use DVDRemake to accomplish this but I have never tried that.
yeah, i don't think that works. let's say i need an episode from disc 1 and an episode from disc 4 of season 1. if i save each episode as an iso file, i cannot reopen it in DVD Shrink to merge them together and make a combined iso file. i'm guessing that's what you mean. correct me if i'm wrong.
also, you can only burn one disc image to 1 dvd. why won't it let me throw more than one image on there? is there a program that i can combine iso files?
Copy each disk to a hard drive folder.
Then use Re-Author to pick what you want!
Just like it shows in that

If you look close, you will see he is picking from different folders.

Are you asking if you can put two or more small DVDs on one DVD if there is room.
No, I do not think you can and have it play on a stand alone.
However, you can make multiple titles (each small DVD) and put them in one image.
He was not clear on that, he was using pic to show the way.
I always rip to a hard drive folder first and go form there.
But I use the old school methods of backing up my DVDs.
I like free but will be investing in CCE soon.
