How do i obtain the xbl update for Counter-Strike?

Because my xbox has a hardmod i cannot sign into my xbox live account to obtain the update for counter-strike. Because i have the update on my other (softmodded) xbox, i cannot do system link since one xbox has the update and the other does not. I've tried coping the files in E:/TDATA and UDATA from my softmodded xbox to my hardmodded xbox but it still does not work. HELP!

(and yes i know my cables are hooked up correctly i actually have a third xbox with the update and it can connect with my softmodded xbox just fine, my hardmodded xbox cannot connect to either so i know its a problem with the update)
