hows it going? just a quick question
I was wondering what format your movie files have to be in to
watch with an external hard drive conected to your 360?

most likely Windows Media Player format. That is all i think it is able to handle without conversion. You can always network them from a PC with programs like ORB or TVersity that will do the conversion, but the quality is not always top notch.
