Yup, sure is. all you need to do is read a couple forums on flashing your DVD drive in your 360, find the files, and find out what kind of drive you have (samsung, hitachi, or ben q). as soon as you have that info then maybe i can help more

go to www.llama.com and search for 'xbox 360 drive comparison' that'll get you started.
eventually, you'll have to open your xbox up to find out the exact model # of the drive, but not yet. there's a couple tutorials on www.youtube.com on how to do that

I'm not entirely sure 'model number' is the correct terminology. i think drive version is more like it. and no, you can't find your drive version w/o voiding the warranty. you can however determine if you have a samsung, hitachi or a ben q drive w/o voiding the warranty. were you able to do that?

Well if you don't have an elite and it's a Hitachi, you can firmware flash it. (most elites have ver. 0079FK) Just use the VIA 6421 PCI SATA card and ixtreme 1.2rev2 (firmware for Hitachi's)
For Samsungs, use ixtreme 1.2 for Samsung drives. All Samsung drives can be flashed also with a VIA 6421 PCI SATA card.

to flash your 360, you do not need to spend any money except for like 13 bucks on a SATA connetor PCI host, that's it. you may need hardware for copying games though, i'm not entitrely sure though because i already had one of the recommended drives
go ahead and PM me any more questions
