sony dcr-hc28 compatable with MAC?

I recently purchased a Sony DCR-HC28 mini DV camcorder, I am having trouble editing on my MAC... is it compatable?

Do you have it connected to the firewire port? You can't edit avi with the USB connector.

yes, I have it connected with a BELKIN 6-Pin to 4-Pin FireWire Cable

What software are you using? If it doesnt work on your mac try it on a windows pc and see if works.
