I use Canon, and have no problems, but my brother-in-law uses the kodak easyshare, and has nothing but problems. I have already realized he needs to delete the kodak software, and go to a card reader. The problem is this (5 neices and a nephew and irreplaceable pictures, some of which I would like to have), 1st, if he deletes the kodak software, will he lose the pictures (like 1,200), and 2nd, what is the best software, or alternative method of retrieval, for him to get those pictures away from Kodak, and copy them to dvd? He tried Adobe photoshop, to remove the pictures from the kodak software, and neither program will let him copy the pictures. Also, he was wondering if the kodak docking station would work through windows xp pro, without the kodak software. I can usually help him with any problems he runs into, but this dilemma has me stymied. Thank anyone for reading my thread, and eternal thanks for anyone who can help.
