how can i brick my psp don't ask why i just want to brick it
i'm at firmware 3.40 oe-a if i update to 3.5 then try to downgrade to 1.5 will that brick the psp

Just downgrade from 3.40OE to 1.5-because you cant upgrade from custom FW, and while its flashing the firmware, yank the battery out- Or go into recovery console and toggle your flash0 from the advanced menu and then delete everything in the folder...Instant brickage...
You must be testing an unbricking method? Lets hope, otherwise you are retarded...Either way let us know the outcome..

but ok here is my way :
go to recovery then run the 1.50 eboot and while its "downgrading" or "returning" to 1.50 remove the battery or turn it off. and you got a branch new bricked psp!!
My Psp History: 2.00->2.60->2.71->2.80->1.50->semi-brick->2.71->1.50->3.40 OE-A ->3.52M33->3.52M33-4->3.71M33-2

I assume you are going to brick someone elses. Just take the battery out, if your battery dies during an downgrade, it will brick it, no power, no PSP.

Yeah, It Will Be Interesting To Here If He HAs Found A Solution To Getting 'Bricked'...Because That Would Be Very Handy..Then You Would Really Need To Care About Anything! And On The Other Hand It Would Be Funny If He Flushed It Down The Toilet Or Bricked It And Gave It Back To The Person He Got It From..A Good April Fools Joke(But Wasnt A Joke,Heh)

Well, not exactly. He got a new PSP couple of weeks before. I said I want to borrow his overnight, do some network thingy. I downgraded his 2.8 and got it to 3.10oe. I deleted some flash0 files, and made it semi-bricked...
...........He nearly chocked me to death. :D
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...
