right know i have swamp magic 2.0 and like one of the first ps2s and i was wondering if hdloader would work out better because i keep getting choppy burns and the disk get scratched also i was wondering if you could use a external usb hdd instead of the ps2 hdd and also could i put all my old dvd backups on the hdd please help
hdloader does not work with usb harddrives, you would need usbextreme. Since you have a fat ps2, you could just put a normal hard drive in it (connected to the network adaptor) and use hd loader.
i could just use a normal ide hard drive or would it have to be sata and i need a network adapter? but is hdloader better than swap magic and could i use my old dvd game backups and put them on the hard drive or would i need the originals
Yes, ide. And yes, you would need a network adaptor because thats what the hdd connects to. Hdloader is not better than swap magic though. Yes, you can put your old dvd games on the hdd, you just need to know how to do it (takes some swapping). BTW, what brand dvdr discs are you using?
