I dont want to buy anything extra. I have the slim. A computer, burning drive, tv, blank dvds, the basics. Any way I can make my ps2 read backups? I read alittle on mem card exploits.

not really, with a slimline even if you do a free mod like the "tape & Tissue" mod, you still need Swap Magic in order to play your back up games.
