How do I rewrite my HDD's with no Disks?

Hi I have windows XP and I need to rewrite my HDD's to when i first got the computer, its running very laggy and slow now and i just wanna clean it all up to when i first got it. THe problem is i dont have the Format disks, so anyone know how i could do that?

all you need is the xp installation disc. it has a partitioner on it.

i dont have any of that stuff, i got this computer a long time ago from a friend that was moving, and i dont got ne of it :)

well there is no point in formating your hard drive unless you have a operating system to install on it. so you should find one to install.

The only thing you can do is, defragment your system hard drive. In windows xp, just open "my computer" then right click on your system hard drive(usually c:), next pick properties, open the "tools" tab, now click on the defragment box. Defragment will move all your data back to where it's suppose to be(right next to each other), instead of being all over the hard drive. Maybe this will help you out.
