Alright, after a little work I managed to get my flip top case on, screwed in and everything. Now, I put in the swap magic 3.6 DVD and it wont load. I tried countless times, and it wouldn't load, so I took the flip top case off so the PS2 had no case.. put the swap magic in the normal PS2 area thing (I fail at explaining, so, this) and put that lid thing back down on it. -NOW- Swap Magic loaded, but I ran into the DVD-RW dilemma and need to get DVD-Rs.
My problem, though.. why will swap magic not load when the flip-top case is on? Why does it only load when it's how I poorly described?

If by "whire" you mean white, then yes, the magnetized white thing is attached. As a matter of fact, it came with one exactly like the other. (I've tried swapping, repeadedly)
