My laptop has an LG GWA-4082N CG03 drive in it and it currently does not support bitsetting. However, i did flash it with a beta firmware which seemed to do nothing at all. If I can't bitset with this burner am I totally sol with burning 360 games or is there another way I can do it without buying a whole new burner.

bitsettings (booktyping) your media is required if you have a Hitachi drive in your 360. So if that is the case then yes, you are SOL

But if you have a Samsung it is not needed for the games to work. It can help with compatibility but is not required like it is with the Hitachi drives.
